Betty Mae Shroyer Trickett, 82, of Morgantown, entered into her everlasting life with her heavenly father Sunday March 20, 2016. She was born March 2, 1934 a daughter of the late Ray and Ruby Newman Shroyer and grew up on White Day Creek, off Halleck Rd. with her six siblings Vernadeen, Irene, Jean, Margie, Bernard, and Mary.Betty is survived by her husband of 63 years, Russ Ervin Trickett and their children and spouses, Debra and Rick Starn, Amy and Andrew Krutko and Rusty Trickett eight grandchildren: Dana McKenzie, Christopher Trickett, Tonya Trickett Posey, Russell Trickett, Brian Starn, Selena Starn Tate, Veronica Bartges Wager, and Maria Krutko four great grandchildren a daughter in law, Dian Trickett, three sisters, Jean Campbell, Margie Morris, and Mary Phillips Owen a brother, BernardShroyerLinda and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Betty ws preceded in death by her oldest son, Douglas Trickett, two sisters, Vernadeen McCartney and Irene Wujcik, and an infant brother, Marshall Shroyer. Betty was a wonderful mother, wife, and homemaker. She was a great cook who enjoyed having family and friends join in for a meal. She was also a talented seamstress and she had a "green thumb" when it came to growing flowers. She loved animals, especially her cairn terrier she called "Sweetie Pie" and her bird, Kujoe. Betty was an Avon representative in the Presidents Club for over twenty years and had many customers that she grew to love. Family and friends may call Dering-Henson Funeral Home, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 1-8 pm and on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 10am until the 11 am service hour with Rev. Charles Fancher officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Betty's family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice care and especially, Laura Myers, Toni Moore, Katherine Bartung, and Natalie Allen , for all the care they provided to Betty.
