Cynthia Marie Thomas

Cynthia Marie Thomas {Pringle}, 59, of Morgantown, West Virginia died Wednesday, July 12, 2017 peacefully in her home after a seven-year battle with cancer. She was born September 2, 1957 in Morgantown, WV to John Arthur and Ella Marie Cordent Pringle. Cindy was married to John Thomas, of Morgantown, WV, for 16 years. She graduated from Morgantown High School in 1975 and attended West Virginia Community College for a degree in Accounting. She was a former Deputy Circuit Clerk for Mon County. She was also a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed terribly. She always had a smile on her face and a good joke on hand. She enjoyed being outside, going to the pool and taking a good nap. She was a fighter and a giver until the end. We are so sad that she is gone, but relieved at the freedom she now has from pain and suffering, as she is with Christ in heaven. Cindy is survived by her husband John Thomas, of Morgantown, WV daughter and son-in-law, Ashley Royce and Patrick McBride, of Oklahoma City, OK daughter Bethany Royce of Binghamton, NY step son and daughter-in-law John and Pam Thomas, of Morgantown, WV step son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Jamie Thomas, of Morgantown, WV 14 grandchildren: Benjamin, Andrew, Elise and Caleb McBride of Oklahoma City, OK Carah Wilburn and baby Zaden, Matthew, Eli and Jake Thomas of Morgantown, WV James Downey, Christopher, Alexis, Edward, Lilliana, and Skyla Thomas, of Morgantown, WV sister Alicia Cayton, of Morgantown, WV brother and sister-in-law Lee and Mickey Pringle, of Morgantown, WV as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her grand-parents and parents. Visitation will be Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Dering-Henson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, July 17, 2017 in the funeral home chapel with Patrick McBride officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Morgantown.
