Helen Faye Stemple

Helen Faye Stemple, 94, of Morgantown, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Mapleshire Nursing Facility. She was born March 7, 1923 in Morgantown a daughter of the late John Lowry Barnes and Sarah Rebecca Chipps Barnes. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Morgantown and a retired beautician. She enjoyed playing bridge and flower gardening. Helen is survived by a son, Edward Stemple, of Latrobe, PA, a daughter, Mary Beth Stemple, of Morgantown, a grandson, John W. Stemple, of Morgantown, and a great granddaughter, Autumn Stemple, of Morgantown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Stemple, a daughter, Jewel Ann Wood, and a sister, June Coombs. Visitation will be Monday, June 12, 2017 from 5-7pm at Dering-Henson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, June 13, 2017, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dick Hepler officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery.
