Jack Bebernes Obituary

Jack E. Bebernes passed away with his family by his side in Morgantown, WV on April 15, 2022 at the age of 62. He was born in Marlborough, MA on May 13, 1959 to Eugene and Coyla Bebernes. Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at an early age, Jack did not let that prevent him from living his life to the fullest. He was a 1977 graduate of General Brown HS Dexter, NY, where he competed on the wrestling team. He then graduated from SUNY Oswego in 1982, earned an MBA from Syracuse University in 1986, and proceeded to have a 34 year career as a Human Resources manager in the manufacturing industry, before retiring in Frostburg, MD in 2020. Jack married his loving wife, Sue, in 1986 and they enjoyed living in many different states where they raised two children together. Throughout his life, Jack enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing golf, practicing guitar, traveling, reading and spending time with his family and friends. He had a wealth of knowledge, an unwavering optimism, and always provided support and guidance to those he loved. He is survived by his wife, Susan, daughter Sara Zach Dobrzynski, son Erik, father Eugene, brother Jeffrey Sheryl Bebernes, nieces Chelsea and Melissa, granddaughters Audrey and Emma, and dog Lucy. He is preceded in death by his mother Coyla, youngest brother Steven, and more recently comedian Bob Saget. Jack will be deeply missed by all friends and family. A private memorial service will be held at an undetermined date. Please consider donating to the American Diabetes Association in honor of Jack.
