Mary Ann Rogers Johnson, 86, of Mechanicsburg, PA, died Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Bethany Village Skilled Nursing Center, surrounded by her daughter and son. She was born in Morgantown on May 16, 1929 a daughter of the late Kathryn Alger Rogers and Paul Martin Rogers. She attended West Virginia University and University of Pittsburgh from 1946-51. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and was a dedicated pharmacist at Rogers Pharmacy, in Morgantown, for 35 years. In retirement, she was enthusiastic about travel in the United States and abroad. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, the late Jay E. Johnson and her family in Hilton Head Island, SC. She was a passionate reader of literature and passed her love of reading on to her grandchildren, Paige Johnson and Rachel, Michelle, and Alison Brown. She leaves behind her daughter, Katie Dean Brown from Philadelphia, PA and her son, Jay Dawn Johnson from Mechanicsburg, PA, as well as her brother Tom Janet Rogers from Morgantown. Friends will be received from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday September 24, 2015 at Dering-Henson Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial will follow on Friday 25, 2015 with a graveside service at the Oak Grove Cemetery with Fr. Michael Hadaway officiating.
