Nona Rae Jones

Nona Rae Patterson Jones, 87, of Morgantown, died Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Monongalia General Hospital. She was born April 25, 1927 a daughter of the late Thomas J. Patterson and Helen Rae Johnston Patterson. She was a graduate from Monongalia High School and a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church. Nona was an accomplished seamstress having worked for many years in New York City for internationally known clothing manufacturers . She retired back to Morgantown to be near family and friends. Nona was particularly fond of children and they loved visiting and talking with her. She is survived by a sister, Nana Patterson and a brother, Robert Patterson , a special nephew, Ricky Ward as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceding her in addition to her parents were two brothers and three sisters. A memorial celebrating her life will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the Mt. Herman Baptist Church with Rev.
