In loving memory of Rejena Mae Dickerson Hartlove Edwards, 74, who passed on April 3,2024. She was born in Giles County,VA on November 10, 1949 a daughter of the late Lester and Elena Dickerson. Her life illuminated the hearts of those around her. Rejena was not just a wonderful mom, but was the embodiment of friendship, the epitome of a devoted wife, and the most caring caregiver. Her talents as a teacher, singer, and dancer for the church brought joy to all who had the privilege of witnessing her passion.Throughout her life, Rejena never met a stranger, embracing each person she encountered with warmth and kindness. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will continue to resonate with those she touched.Though she is no longer with us, her memory will be forever cherished.
Rejena was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Elene Dickerson; brother, Lester Dickerson, and her grandchildren, Violet and Destin.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Edwards; cherished children; Owen (Myrtle) Dickerson, (Miranda and Owen Jr.), Elene Luby(Jorden, Desiree, and Evan), Aaron (Jeanette) Hartlove, (Branden, Chancelor(Kelsey), Emily, Sean, Jason, and John), and Dannie (Joseph) Hawkins; grandchildren, Miranda, Owen Jr.,Jorden, Desiree (Anthony), Evan, Branden, Chancelor (Kelsey), Emily, Sean, Jason, John, David, Sarah-Ann, Zoie, and Kaylee.
In honoring Rejena's memory, let us carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and boundless generosity. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she graced.
A Celebration of Life will be held April 12, 2024 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm with a memorial service from 5:30 pm - 6:30pm at the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 121 Bennett Rd. Essex, MD 21221 and April 20, 2024 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm at the Covenant Church, 17 Everlasting Drive, Fairmont, WV 26554.
Flowers are welcome and donations are suggested to any cancer research foundation in Rejena's memory.
