Victoria E. Fanok, age 97, died on May 7, 2018 at her home in Star City, attended by her daughter Gloria. She was born in Morgantown to Regina and Martin Bloniarz on January 9, 1921. She married Paul Fanok, predeceased Feb 17, 1978, in South Carolina, just prior to him being shipped overseas for two years. Upon his safe return, they became the beloved parents of Paula, Elizabeth 'Libby', Gloria 'Googie' and James 'Jim', which he immortalized on the car license plate as PEG & J. Their family grew to include sons-in-law, Dan Martinelli, Doug Bullock, Barry Howard and daughter-in-law, Debbie Galbus Fanok. Which then happily grew to include grandsons, Daniel and wife Katy, Michael and wife LeAnne and Nicholas and wife Carrie Martinelli, Stephen and wife Bobbie Fanok and granddaughters, Kimberly Fanok Bliss and husband Corry and Lucy Howard. Her legacy carries on with her great granddaughters: Sophia, Isabella and Addison and great-grandsons: Aiden, Marcello, Luca, Albert, Micah and Tasker. Deep sadness touched her family again when she lost Paula October 11, 2003 and granddaughter Julia Howard January 22, 2001 She is predeceased by three brothers, Victor, Stanley and Anton Bloniarz. She graduated from Morgantown High School in 1939 and enjoyed attending many class reunions. She had a great long life full of many hobbies and volunteer volunteered at the Mon General Hospital. She loved to sing and hummed when not singing. She loved dogs and was rarely without one. Vicki started working during the war in the office of Pursglove Coal Company and while raising children worked in the office at Davis Lynch Glass Company for 23 years. She was very active in St. Mary's church as a member of the Funeral Choir and was past regent of the Catholic Daughters. She had many great and dear friends 'on the hill' as the area in Star City where she lived her entire life is called, in her workplace, especially her dear friend Eneide and from her association with the Church. The family is grateful to her truly great caregivers who are like family to us now. It allowed our mother to live and die in her home as she wished.
